The minimum qualifications for employment are as follows:

• Must be a citizen of the United States
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor
• Must pass written, aptitude, psychological test and a physical agility test
• Must participate in an oral interview
• Must pass a thorough medical examination
• Must pass an intensive background investigation.

Law enforcement experience, college degrees and military experience are desirable but not required.
