The Department of Public Safety coordinates all emergency services in Henry County. The department employs nine personnel, including a Director, a Deputy Director/Fire Marshal, a EMS Coordinator, a Deputy Fire Marshal/Fire Training Coordinator, an Assistant Fire Marshal, an EMS Training Coordinator, an EMT Instructor, a Fire Instructor, and an administrative assistant. Equipment for emergency management includes a mobile command post, hazardous materials response trailer, a mobile air supply unit, a mass casualty incident response trailer, a decontamination trailer, and a technical hazardous operations unit.
