To be on our bidders list for RFP, Quotes and Bids, Simply mail, fax, or email us on your company letter head, your address, fax #, phone #, email and a contact name, within your information also include three (3) letters of recommendations from another Government facility if possible.  Also include what your company does.  Once we receive your information and review it, we will then apply you to our temporary vendor list.

The Henry County Purchasing Department realizes the importance of honesty and fairness in all of its procurement activities.  It is the intent of the Purchasing Office and its staff to stay in compliance with the Henry County Code and the Virginia Procurement Act when performing all procurement activities. Our overall standards are high and straightforward as we encourage competition when possible to provide the best use of tax dollars for our paying citizens. 

This office has been members of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) for over 15 years, and the Virginia Association of Governmental Purchasing (VAGP).  By involving our staff in the membership of both of these organizations, we can educate and keep our staff up to date with all of the new and changing laws.

RFP # 08-11253-A30- The Henry County Public Service Authority solicits firms to submit proposals for "Evaluation and Preliminary Engineering Report for Increase Water Supply to Philpott Water Filtration Plant". All proposals are due on November 25, 2008 at 3:00 pm local prevailing time.

RFP # 08-12023-A32- The County of Henry solicits firms to submit proposals for "Engineering and Design renovation to the Old Court House." A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Old Court House, located uptown Martinsville, at 1 East Main Street, Martinsville, VA 24112. All proposals are due on December 2, 2008 at 3:00 pm local prevailing time.

Quote #480- The County of Henry solicits firms to quote on the printing and packing of vehicle and mobile home decals.  All quotes are due on or before December 2, 2008 at 12:00 Noon local prevailing time.

HENRY COUNTY SURPLUS AUCTION 

This years auction that was held on September 13, 2008, was a success and we look forward to your visit next year in the Fall for the 2009 auction. Each year the County will hold an annual auction of surplus supplies/equipment/vehicles. Please check back on this website for the Fall Auction of 2009. We will post the auction date and location sometime in the Spring of 2009.
