Valentines for Vets Deadline

Today is the deadline to turn in cards for the Valentine's for Vets program.  Participants can make Valentine Day Cards for American Veterans and parks and recreation will deliver those cards to the US Veterans Hospital in Salem, VA.  Please contact parks and recreation at 634.4645 for more information.

Gym & Swim

Gym & Swim is co-sponsored by Henry County Parks & Recreation and the Martinsville YMCA.  Each week children will spend time in the gym learning a different sport and then jump in the pool for lessons and fun in the water.  This program is open to children ages 3 - 5.  Contact parks and recreation at 634.4640 for more information.

Senior Valentine Lunch

The Valentine's Lunch is open to all adults age 50 and above.  Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish for lunch.  Contact parks and recreation at 634.4643 for more information.

Scrapbooking Crop

If you have always wanted to turn your pictures into beautiful albumens but were not sure how to accomplish that, then the scrapbooking crop is just for you.  Bring pictures and current projects and the instructor will be glad to help.  These classes are held in the Henry County Administration Building and are open to adults.  Please contact parks and recreation at 634.4645 for more information.
