Family Nutrition Programs

Children and adults can participate in this program and learn ways to expand the variety of food in their diets and how to construct a diet lower in fat.  Food purchasing, food handling, and food storage strategies are learned to help families stretch food dollars further.  Classes are free but enrollment is limited to 12 participants.  Contact parks and recreation at 634.4645 for more information.

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is open to all adults age 50 and above.  This program is designed to be a fun and socially interactive way to meet people and enjoy breakfast in a nice atmosphere.  The club meets at 8:30am on the 4th Tuesday of the month at an area restaurant.  No registration is required.  Contact parks and recreation at 634.4643 for more information.

Senior Book Bingo

Henry County Parks and Recreation and the Collinsville Library will sponsor Book Bingo for adults 50 years of age and older.  If you are interested in learning about great books, winning prizes and light refreshments, this activity is for you.  Contact parks and recreation at 634.4644 for more information.

Adult Basketball Begins

The Men's Industrial Basketball League begins today.  Games are played at the Collinsville YMCA and are open to individuals age 18 and above.  This is an organized league with officials, standings, uniforms and playoffs.  Contact parks and recreation at 634.4640 for more information.
