Knitting Class

A Beginning and Advanced Knitting class will be offered once a week for six weeks at the Martinsville Library.  You will learn basic and/or advanced knitting techniques.  Pre-registration is required and you may contact parks and recreation at 634-4643 for more information.

Fundamentals of Bowling

Sportlanes and Henry County Parks and Recreation will be hosting a class designed to teach individuals fifty years of age and older the fundamentals of bowling.  You can learn the basics of bowling in just a few short weeks.  All levels of experience are welcome.  Contact parks and recreation at 634-4644 for more information.

Crochet Group

Join us each Thursday for our crochet group.  This program is open to anyone 50 years of age and older and you can be a beginner or experienced.  This is a free program but you will need to bring you own supplies.  Contact parks and recreation at 634-4643 for more information.

Bridge Club

The Bridge Club is open to all adults age 50 and above.  Bridge is designed to be a fun and socially interactive way for seniors to enjoy playing cards.  Beginner as well as experienced players are welcome.  The club meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month. Contact parks and recreation at 634.4643 for more information.

Punt, Pass & Kick

The NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick Contest will be held today at Jordan Creek Park for children ages 8 - 15 (as of December 31, 2012).  The winners will advance to the Sectional Competition and have a chance to qualify for the Team Championships which will be held at FedEx field before a Washington Redskins game.  Contact parks and recreation at 634-4645 for more information.
