A Beginning and Advanced Knitting class will be offered once a week for six weeks at the Martinsville Library. You will learn basic and/or advanced knitting techniques. Pre-registration is required and you may contact parks and recreation at 634-4643 for more information.
Sportlanes and Henry County Parks and Recreation will be hosting a class designed to teach individuals fifty years of age and older the fundamentals of bowling. The Bridge Club is open to all adults age 50 and above. Bridge is designed to be a fun and socially interactive way for seniors to enjoy playing cards. The NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick Contest will be held today at Jordan Creek Park for children ages 8 - 15 (as of December 31, 2012). The winners will advance to the Sectional Competition and have a chance to qualify for the Team Championships which will be held at FedEx field before a Washington Redskins game.
