The Martinsville-Henry County 911 Center is seeking a full-time Emergency 911 Telecommunicator. Position includes receiving and processing emergency 911 calls for service, and dispatching police, fire and rescue personnel. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, multi-task, receive and transmit information accurately and clearly, work independently, and have knowledge of the geographical area. High School Education or equivalent is required, in addition to pre-employment testing. Proficiency in data entry, general computer knowledge, and experience in use of radio and telephone communications equipment, preferred. Work schedule will vary according to the needs of the 911 Center. Starting salary is $31,024.40, plus excellent benefits.
