The Henry County Purchasing Department realizes the importance of honesty and fairness in all of its procurement activities. It is the intent of the Purchasing Office and its staff to stay in compliance with the Henry County Code and the Virginia Procurement Act when performing all procurement activities. Our overall standards are high and straightforward as we encourage competition when possible to provide the best use of tax dollars for our citizens.

This office has been a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) and the Virginia Association of Governmental Purchasing (VAGP) for many years. By involving our staff in the membership of both these organizations, we educate and keep our staff up to date with new and changing laws.
