Children Services Act
The Children's Services Act (CSA) is a law enacted in 1993 that establishes a state pool of funds to support services for eligible youth and their families. The CSA vision is to focus on a collaborative, child-centered, family-focused, community-based system of care that effectively meets the needs of troubled and at-risk youth and their families in the Commonwealth.
The Henry-Martinsville CSA is made-up of two multi-disciplinary teams. The Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) and the Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT). They consist of members from the following agencies:

The Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) ( Code of Virginia §2.2-3700) states, “Unless a public body or its officers or employees specifically elect to exercise an exemption provided by this chapter or another statute, every meeting shall be open to the public and all public records shall be available for inspection and copying upon request”. The Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) would like to fulfill this requirement by publicizing our meeting dates below.
CPMT meetings are held monthly at the Henry-Martinsville Department of Social Services.
Please contact the CSA office by phone or email if you wish to be placed on the CPMT agenda for public comment or would like to receive an invitation to the public portion of the monthly CPMT meetings. The deadline to be placed on the agenda is one week prior to the meeting date. Monthly CPMT agendas and meeting minutes are available by contacting the CSA office by phone or email.
Martinsville meetings are at 8:30 am.
Henry County meetings are at 9:15 am.
